India has Amway’s heart: Amway president, Michael Nelson

INR 100 Cr investment announced for Amway India’s progress in the next 3-5 years

While visiting India this week to mark 10 years of the company’s manufacturing journey in the country, the Amway president and CEO, Michael Nelson announced that they have planned to invest Rs 100 crore  to further enhance Amway business owner/ distributor capabilities, strengthen and expand its physical presence and elevate customer experience over the next three to five years.  Notably, India enjoys a strategic importance in Amway’s global operations as one of only three global manufacturing hubs for Amway, alongside the US and China. “The company now intends to build on this strong foundation,” he declared.

Amway sources said that this marks Nelson’s maiden visit to India since assuming the president and CEO role, underscoring the country’s pivotal role in Amway’s global growth strategy and reaffirming the company’s long-standing commitment to inclusive and sustainable progress in the region.

“India stands at the very core of Amway’s global vision,” said Nelson. “It is a powerhouse of potential driven by its digitally empowered population, a dynamic and young workforce and thriving gig economy. For Amway, India is at the cusp of transformation and to drive this change, we continue to make significant investments, focusing on key priorities – strengthening our values and culture, accelerating product innovation to meet evolving consumer needs and deepening distributor partnerships through education and training,” he  commented.  

He further said that with its rapid economic rise and increasing focus on holistic wellbeing, India is poised to be a key driver of our global growth. “As we celebrate a decade of local manufacturing, we are proud of what we have built and even more inspired by the extraordinary opportunities that lie ahead,” he added.  

The managing director, Amway India, Rajneesh Chopra said, “As India marches toward its vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, we are proud to contribute to this transformative journey by strengthening our local presence and investing in people and innovation.”
