The semi final of the ‘Battle of Minds’, the Indian Army quiz-2023 of the schools of the central command was organised at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). Organised at the ground of IMA in the back drop of the historic Chetwode building, 16 teams participated in the event. The event was themed around the valour and sacrifice exhibited during the Kargil War and aimed to honor the bravery of armed forces and their unwavering commitment to the nation. The quiz masters for the competition were Seema Chari and Kunal Savarkar. The chief guest for the event was the commandant of the IMA lieutenant general VK Mishra.
A communiqué from the IMA said, “ The event was witnessed by a large number of spectators and was a veritable melting pot for all. Amongst the spectators were our proud ‘Veer Naris’ whose husbands laid down their lives for their motherland. The event was also graced by legends and war heroes who took part in Kargil War. Several gallantry award winners also came to witness the event. A large number of school children of Dehradun also to witnessed the semi finals.’’
To commemorate 25 Years of the historic Kargil victory, the Indian Army is organising a series of artistic and educational events. The competition is part of the events the Army has planned for the occasion.
