Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) vice chairman Banshidhar Tiwari has directed officials to install CCTV cameras in the entire campus of the Inter State Bus Terminus in Dehradun. He also directed officials to start work on building a Pahadi façade and ensure better sanitation on campus. Tiwari also directed the officials to expedite action on complaints received through the CM helpline 1905. Though he expressed satisfaction at the action taken on such complaints so far, he told officials to phone the complainants and inform them about the progress achieved in their case so far. Tiwari said this and issued other instructions while chairing a review meeting here on Thursday.

Chairing the meeting, the MDDA vice chairman also issued instructions to the officials regarding the Adhat Bazaar project. He directed the officials to work on creating land banks in other places on the lines of the land bank created at Shahpur and Kalyanpur in Vikasnagar area of Dehradun. Tiwari expressed satisfaction at the disposal of building maps by the authority. Focusing on another important issue, he directed continued action on illegal construction and plotting. Since assuming charge as the MDDA vice chairman, he has directed the authority to maintain a strict approach towards illegal constructions and plotting. This activity had dropped a bit in the recent past due to the festive season. Considering this, Tiwari directed the officials to renew focus on action against illegal plotting and constructions in all the sectors of the MDDA. He also directed the officials to set target for compounding in all the sectors.

“The officials were issued necessary instructions regarding various projects of the MDDA and complaints received through the CM helpline. We will not observe any laxity regarding illegal constructions. The MDDA engineers have been issued special instructions for action on this aspect,” the MDDA VC said.
