Most parts of Uttarakhand witnessed a respite from heavy rains barring isolated incidents though light to moderate rain was reported in various places on Saturday.
The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning (be aware) regarding the possibility of heavy rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Champawat and Nainital districts on Sunday. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in all districts of the State today.
Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One/two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun.
