Joshi re -elected president of Secretariat body

Defeats N P Raturi in a close contest

Deepak Joshi was re-elected on the prestigious position of the President of the Uttarakhand secretariat association on Friday. In a keenly contested election, he defeated his nearest rival Narendra Prasad Raturi by nine votes.

Joshi received 492 votes while Raturi got 483. Third contestant Balwant Singh Jyada was able to receive only 27 votes. Vimal Joshi was elected secretary in the election. He got 317 votes while Rakesh Chandra Joshi and Pradip Papne got 279 and 225 votes respectively. In these elections, Sunil Kumar Lakhera won the post of vice president of the association. The term of the new executive body would be two years.
