COVID-19 : 189 new cases & 104 recoveries reported in U’khand on Monday

The state saw 189 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday while 104 persons recovered from the infection on the same day. According to the Health department the state now has a total of 523 active cases with the sample positivity on Monday being 1.33 per cent and the recovery percentage being 95.88. Of the new cases reported on Monday, 71 were from Dehradun district, 44 from Pauri, 18 from Nainital, 12 from Haridwar, nine from Almora, one each from Chamoli, Champawat and Uttarkashi, 22 from Udham Singh Nagar, six from Pithoragarh and four from Tehri. When it comes to the number of active cases, Dehradun districts has 236 while there are 140 in Nainital, 49 in Udham Singh Nagar, 37 in Pauri, 26 in Haridwar, 14 in Pithoragarh, five in Almora, four in Bageshwar, five in Tehri and three in Uttarkashi district.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,283,38 beneficiaries were vaccinated in 1,495 sessions held in the state on Monday. A total of 59,801 beneficiaries in the 15 to 18 years age group were vaccinated on the first day of the campaign aimed at their vaccination. So far, 78,72,922 beneficiaries have been partially vaccinated and 64,38,405 have been fully vaccinated. In the 18-44 years age group, 47,74,171 have been partially vaccinated and 37,32,280 have been fully vaccinated.
