KU hosts workshop on entrepreneurship & innovation

 A workshop on entrepreneurship and innovation was held at the DSB campus of Kumaun University under the banner of Kumaun University Innovation and Incubation Centre.
The keynote speaker, Sanjeev Bhagat, who is the founder of Footage and an alumnus of DSB campus, said that his journey which had started with pickles and ketchup in 1993 has presently given birth to over 46 products. “These include the popular Buransh juice,” he said, adding that he is currently running five showrooms with the products being available across the country through online medium. He told the students that there is a limit to income in a job whereas there is no limit to earning in business. He exhorted them to inculcate independent and creative thinking while remaining uncompromising on quality.  

Prof Lalit Tiwari inaugurated the workshop while Nidhi Verma explained the difference between business and commerce, describing entrepreneurship as a medium of opportunity creation. Sanjeev Bhagat was felicitated on the occasion with a shawl and a candle.
