KU & JAIST, Japan discuss details on student exchange program

Kumaun University, Nainital has started a student exchange programme with Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Japan to promote international cooperation in the field of higher education and research so as to enable students with opportunities to learn and do research at the global level.
In this context, the KU vice- chancellor, Prof Diwan Singh Rawat spoke to Prof Kazuaki Matsumura of JAIST virtually. The meeting saw a detailed discussion between the representatives of both the institutions on the outline, direction and future action plan of the student exchange programme.
Under the next phase of this cooperation, the vice-president of JAIST and his team would visit KU in December which is expected to further deepen mutual understanding, cooperation and research partnership between these two institutions.
