CBI hosts agricultural credit outreachcamp

Dehradun region of Central Bank of India organised a special State-level agricultural credit outreach camp in Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar district on Saturday.
The president of the Rice Mill Association, Kashipur, Himanshu Arora attended it as the chief guest. Among others present were the chief general manager Kushal Pal and regional head Rajat Bajaj. Besides, a large number of entrepreneurs, farmers, members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and customers associated with rice mills and food processing units participated in the camp and obtained information about various banking and agricultural credit schemes. Pal provided detailed information on the rice mill scheme and other specialised agricultural loan schemes while Bajaj spoke of Start-up India and cold storage facilities among others.
During the camp, loan sanction letters amounting to about Rs 39 crore were distributed on the spot among eligible beneficiaries. The participating entrepreneurs appreciated the initiative stating that such camps are useful in promoting economic growth and spreading financial awareness in rural areas.
