In latest news from Uttarakhand, the vice chancellor of Kumaun University Prof Diwan Singh Rawat convened a meeting to discuss matters related to the commencement of the new session 2024-25. All the deans, heads of departments, teachers and guest teachers attended. Notably, the main objective of the discussion, as per KU sources, was to improve the teaching quality in the university, promote the use of innovation and improve its national and international ranking.
Prof Rawat while interacting with the professors said that to improve the level of teaching, all the teachers would not only have to acquire adequate proficiency in their subjects but have to adopt new educational innovations. Improvement in the national and international ranking of the university is possible only when the teaching level comes in line with international standards, he said and added that it is not enough to impart just knowledge of the subjects but to develop thinking ability and innovative approach in students.
