Over 25 proposals related to civic development and public welfare were approved at a board meeting of Ramnagar Nagar Panchayat presided over by the chairman, Surendra Singh Lotni. The executive officer Ishwar Singh Rawat was also present.
Key proposals approved included measures to control air and noise pollution allegedly caused by the nearby paper mill, construction of a gaushala on unused land along the national highway, development of a multi-purpose complex at the Haat Bazaar site and installation of water coolers for the summer season.
The board also discussed beautification of main roads and organising cleanliness competitions in all wards.
