Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has contracted Covid-19 and has been admitted at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. Lata’s family has confirmed that the singer has mild symptoms and has been undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU). It is learnt that the singer has also been suffering from pneumonia.
Also known as the nightingale of India, Lata has been honoured with several national and international awards including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and India’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna.
