A day after a cold and mostly cloudy Friday, people in Dehradun and some other parts of the State enjoyed a sunny Saturday. However, light rain/snowfall is forecast in parts of three districts of the State on Sunday. According to the State meteorological centre, very light to light rain/snowfall/thunderstorm is likely to occur at isolated places especially in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the States today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 22.9 degrees Celsius and 6.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 22.6 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.9 degrees Celsius and 2.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 13.8 degrees Celsius and 2.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
