While Dehradun and other places in the plains continue to experience dry and warm weather, the higher reaches in three mountainous districts are forecast to experience light rain and snowfall on Sunday. According to the State meteorological centre, very light to light rain/ thunderstorm/ snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness mainly clear to partly cloudy skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 30.2 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.2 degrees Celsius and 12.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.5 degrees Celsius and 6.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21.1 degrees Celsius and 9.9 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
