LSC Infratech Ltd (Kumar Group of Industries) planted trees along Kichha Bypass Road, Rudrapur, led by the group director Abhishek Agarwal and the district mining officer Manish Parihar.
Agarwal stated that keeping the earth green and protecting the environment by planting trees is everyone’s moral responsibility. He added that thousands of trees have been planted at their other establishments as well. “My group will plant trees at other locations this monsoon season to raise awareness about the environment. Tree plantation on a collective scale can combat global warming and climate change,” he added. He also lauded the Uttarakhand government’s tree plantation campaign and urged everyone to plant at least one tree every year.
Parihar said that LSC Infratech had organised a large-scale tree planting program last month on the inter-college campus in Bajpur, planting various species of fruit and shade trees. Similar tree planting programs are being held at other locations during the monsoon season, he said. “Simply planting trees is not enough; it is also our responsibility to protect them until they grow. If we all work together, Dehradun and our country will become green and pollution-free,” he added.
