A special Eye Donation Awareness Programme on the theme “One Pledge, One Sanskar, One Immortal Gift” was organised at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun on Friday.
The Ophthalmology department of the hospital conducted a public awareness campaign under the ongoing Eye Donation Fortnight from August 25 to September 8. During the programme, the families of eye donors were felicitated.
Addressing the programme, the head of Ophthalmology department and director of Shri Mahant Indiresh Eye Bank, Dr Tarannum Shakeel informed that the objective of such programmes is to spread the message of eye donation widely among the people. During the event, the winners of the debate competition were also felicitated.
