Transport minister order for prompt public service to RTO Dehradun

Transport minister Pradeep Batra inspected all sections of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Dehradun and instructed all desk in-charges, officers and employees to be present at work on time. He emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the office premises and ensuring that public issues are resolved promptly. This was conveyed during the inauguration of the “Hi-Tech Digital Lobby” at the RTO Dehradun.
While appreciating the initiative for the high-tech lobby, Batra described it as a symbol of the department’s modern thinking, transparency and commitment to public service. He stated that digital technology will enhance efficiency, transparency and ease in departmental operations, ultimately benefiting the public through improved services. He emphasised that the high-tech digital lobby is not merely a modern system, but a solid foundation for future citizen-centric services.
The minister expressed confidence that this initiative will mark a new chapter in innovation and excellent service delivery, elevating the department’s efficiency and making the citizen experience more seamless, simple and effective.
The digital system launched by the Transport department aims to provide citizens with easy access to information regarding various services, application processes, and other facilities through technology. The department’s goal is to deliver timely, transparent and modern services to the public.
In addition, Batra showcased the “Token System” developed by the assistant divisional transport officer (Administration) in Haridwar Nikhil Sharma which will also be implemented at the RTO in Dehradun.
