Medical Oxygen: Five member sub-committee set up

In pursuance of the order of Supreme Court (SC), the Uttarakhand government has set up a five member State level audit sub group on medical oxygen. In an order the chief secretary Om Prakash said on Saturday that the subcommittee would act as per the order of the SC dated May 6 this year.
The member of the subcommittee are, Joint Secretary mining government of India, Satyendra Singh, secretary Transport, Uttarakhand Government, Ranjit Sinha, Director All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Dr Ravikant, Principal Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), Dr Ashutosh Sayana and Chief Engineer (CE),Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), government of India, B P Singh. The SC while hearing a Special Leave Petition (SLP) has directed that for ensuring proper distribution and supply of the medical oxygen allotted to the states should be done by a National Level Task force. It had also directed setting up sub committees in the states and Union Territories (UT) under the Task force.
