Police arrested three accused, including two delivery boys, who were supplying drugs under the cover of delivering household items. The three were arrested while checking in Raiwala area on Tuesday.
Both the accused have been identified as Fujail and Wasim. Both worked as delivery boys for Blinkit company, police said. They were delivering groceries to customers but, along with that, they were also supplying illegal drugs. From both of them, the police recovered a total of Rs 29.94 grams of smack worth about Rs 9 lakh. The third accused, Ajay alias Monu, was caught with 158 grams of charas. He works as a waiter in Haridwar and had brought the charas from Kurushetra to sell it at higher prices.
During interrogation, Faujail and Waim told the police that they purchased the smack from a man named Iliyas from Sultanpur Chilkana at a cheap price. They planned to sell it to local people and college students for quick profit.
Police arrested them when they were travelling towards Haridwar to deliver the drugs. The third accused, Ajay, said he wanted to sell the charas to pilgrims, but he was caught before he could do so. He has also been to jail earlier in a theft case. Police have registered separate cases against all three accused under the NDPS Act at Kotwali Raiwala.
