In a move poised to transform India’s electronics manufacturing landscape, Messe Muenchen India has announced that its flagship trade fairs—electronica India and productronica India—will now be held annually in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru starting 2026.
The landmark announcement was made at an industry gathering in Greater Noida, attended by leaders from Samsung, Syrma SGS, Sahasra Group, VVDN, and major industry bodies like ELCINA, ICEA, CLIK and FICCI.
The decision follows extensive stakeholder consultations that revealed an urgent need for shorter sourcing cycles, regional accessibility and consistent face-to-face engagement. Over 70 per cent of surveyed buyers supported the shift to an annual format.
“This dual-city model is more than logistical—it is strategic,” said the vice chairman and MD, Dixon Technologies, Atul B Lall. “It accelerates innovation, strengthens buyer-supplier alignment and ensures that new technologies reach the market faster.”
Backing the initiative, ELCINA’s secretary general, Rajoo Goel called the move ‘the need of the hour’ to boost industry visibility and speed up supply chain interactions.
From a policy standpoint, chair – FICCI Electronics Manufacturing Committee- Manish Sharma noted that India’s electronics growth story is a national priority. “Platforms like these will drive investor confidence and speed up technology exchange,” he said.
Adding global weight, CEO, Messe München GmbH, Reinhard Pfeiffer stated: “India’s position in the global electronics value chain is strengthening rapidly. With annual shows in Delhi and Bengaluru, we are deepening our commitment to India’s innovation journey.”
In a high-impact brand move, cricket legend Rohit Sharma has been named the official brand ambassador for the 2025 and 2026 editions. His association is expected to attract young professionals, startups and innovators into the fold of the industry.
“We are not just organising a trade show—we’re building an ecosystem. Rohit’s involvement brings a fresh and relatable face to India’s tech-driven future,” said President IMEA, Messe München and CEO, Messe Muenchen India, Bhupinder Singh.
The 2025 Bengaluru edition is set to be the largest ever, featuring 800+ exhibitors and reaffirming the platform’s importance as a catalyst for investment, innovation and cross-border collaboration, the organisers of the trade show said.
