Modi focuses on development, corners opposition on corruption

Prime Minister Narendra Modi focussed his speech in Rudrapur on the agenda of development. He also attacked the opposition parties for standing in support of corruption and pursuing dynastic politics. In his address the PM assured that his government in its third term will focus on achieving the target of making the Indian economy, the third largest economy of the world. This he said, will ensure more development and increase in the income of the people of the country.
He claimed that more development in the country has taken place in the last ten years than the previous 60-65 years. The PM also listed the achievements of his government and the benefits the people of Uttarakhand received in the last 10 years. He claimed that 85,000 houses were constructed in the State and drinking water connections were provided to 12 lakh households. Modi said that bank accounts of 35 lakh people of the State were opened in the last 10 years and free gas connections to five lakh houses were provided under Ujjwala scheme. He also claimed that a sum of Rs 2,200 crore was transferred in the bank accounts of farmers in the State.
Modi also mentioned Manaskhand project which is being taken up on the lines of Char Dham project and construction of satellite centre of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Udham Singh Nagar district as achievements of his government. The PM assured that in the third term people will get 24 hour power supply free of cost under his scheme to promote solar power generation.
