Terming the Narendra Modi government as a complete failure in every field, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has said that the Modi government has set up new records of failures in the last eight years. He said that there is not a single thing which the government can claim to be its achievement in the last eight years. He said that every section of the society including unemployed youth, workers and traders are suffering under the Modi government. “The policies of government are forcing the farmers and businessmen to commit suicide, the army of unemployed is increasing and the labourers are in lurch,’’ he said.
Launching an attack on the government, Mahara said that the BJP took support of lies to come to power. It stopped all the development schemes of the Congress government and snatched employment from the people. He added that all the promises made to the people of the country by Modi proved to be a bundle of lies. He attacked the Modi government for failing to take effective preventive measures during the pandemic of Covid-19 due to which lakhs of people died in different parts of the country. Mahara said that the Modi government promised to double the income of farmers but instead of this the income of farmers has reduced. He added that the economy of the country has completely crashed and the rupee is at its lowest ever in terms of dollar. The PCC president said that today the boundaries of the country are not safe and during the eight year rule of BJP, 548 security personnel have got martyred in Kashmir while 324 civilians have lost their lives in the state.
The PCC president also attacked the state government for its failure to manage the ongoing Char Dham Yatra. He said that more than 104 people have so far lost their lives in the Yatra which speaks volumes about the failure of the government. He said that instead of roads, education, drinking water, medical services, employment, agriculture and development the agenda of BJP has shifted to cemeteries, loud speakers, bulldozers and spreading caste and communal tension. Mahara said that the exploitation of SC, ST, minorities and poor has become the identity of BJP.
