Mohan takes command of Military Hospital

Brigadier Prafull Mohan took command of the Military Hospital Dehradun in a formal Change of Command ceremony held on Saturday. He succeeds brigadier Parikshit Singh. According to officials, the ceremony was conducted with traditional military decorum and concluded with the symbolic handing over of the Command Cane, which signifies the transfer of authority and responsibility.

During his tenure of two years and one month, Singh led the hospital through several key milestones in medical care, infrastructure enhancement and quality improvement initiatives. Under his leadership, Military Hospital Dehradun maintained the highest standards of patient care and operational readiness, the officials said.

Officials further noted that the new commandant Mohan, is a highly qualified clinical pharmacologist and has been serving as the Head of the department of Pharmacology at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. His extensive academic and clinical experience is expected to further strengthen the hospital’s pursuit of excellence in healthcare delivery and training.

The officers, staff and families of Military Hospital Dehradun expressed their gratitude and best wishes to Singh for his dedicated service and warmly welcomed Mohan as he assumed command of this esteemed institution.

Notably, Singh will be moving to Command Hospital Chandimandir, where he will take on the role of Brigadier-in-charge of administration.
