The chairperson of the Uttarakhand State Commission for Women (USCW) Kusum Kandwal visited Pradyumna Bijalwan’s home on the weekend and congratulated him on his achievement of becoming an IAS officer after successfully passing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam without any coaching. Originally from the Rishikesh area, Bijalwan’s success is particularly inspiring given his humble background.

His father is a driver who supports the family through hard work. Bijalwan funded his education by tutoring children, demonstrating that dedication and effort can help overcome any obstacles. Bijalwan has achieved an impressive 98th rank on the recently released UPSC 2024 reserved list.

Kandwal met Bijalwan to congratulate him, stating that his success is a source of pride for all of Uttarakhand. She emphasised that his strong willpower and persistent hard work exemplify how every challenge can be surmountable, making him an inspiration for the youth.

Bijalwan attributed his success to the blessings of his parents and his relentless efforts. He expressed a desire to contribute to the education of underprivileged communities and children in remote rural areas in the future.
