The number of visitors from India and abroad to Nainital increased noticeably this weekend. With the crowds of tourists visible in most parts of the city, those involved in the tourism business did brisk business on Saturday. The arrival of tourists to the lake city began on Friday evening and continued till late in the evening on Saturday. Tourist activity was seen in the usual tourist attractions including cave garden, the zoo and other sites. A considerable number of visitors were also seen on the Mall Road while more than the usual number of visitors could be seen boating on the Naini lake. The Nainital hotel and restaurant association head Digvijay Singh Bisht said that the number of visitors to the city had increased on this weekend.
Meanwhile, the weather took a sudden turn in Nainital city on Saturday due to which the cold intensified along with windy conditions. Though the daytime was mostly sunny with passing clouds, the sky became cloudy by the evening. The maximum temperature recorded in the city on Saturday was 13 degrees Celsius while the minimum was seven degrees Celsius.
