In latest Uttarakhand news, the cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi exuded confidence that the long-awaited Mussoorie Peyjal Yojna with the estimated cost of Rs 144 crore would be inaugurated any day after October 20 this year. This is a centrally sponsored project. The minister further said that Mussoorie has been receiving seven MLD water and after the completion of this project, the residents of Mussoorie would receive 11 MLD water. He reviewed the progress of this project with the senior officers of the Peyjal Nigam and Jal Sansthan. This aside, he took stock of the progress of projects taken up for Mussoorie constituency area by these two organisations. During the meeting, the officers apprised the minister of the stage of progress involving several projects and said that 90 per cent of the work involving Mussoorie Peyjal Yojna has been completed so far.
