In latest news from Uttarakhand, soon after the medal fixing allegation surfaced for the Taekwondo events being held in Haldwani as part of the ongoing 38th National Games, the Indian Olympic Association swung into action and replaced Taekwondo‘s director of competition T Pravin Kumar with S Dinesh Kumar. The replacement followed strong recommendation by three-member Prevention of Manipulation of Competition (PMC) Committee, suggesting prompt replacement.
On assuming the new charge, S Dinesh Kumar assured that he would ensure impartial holding of the Taekwondo competitions at the ongoing National Games in strict accordance with the norms.
