In latest news from Uttarkashi, Uttarkashi District Legal Service Authorities (DLSA) organised National Lok Adalat under the chairmanship of the district judge Justice Gurubaksh Singh. Various types of cases were adjudicated in this court and many division benches disposed of their respective cases. Justice Singh said that hosting of Lok Adalat helps people with quick disposal of their cases. This not only reduces the burden on the courts but also provides justice to the people without their spending time and money, he said.
Senior civil judge/secretary DLSA Shweta Rana Chauhan said that organisation of Lok Adalats not only resolves disputes but also promotes the spirit of reconciliation and compromise in the society.
Inspired by the success of this event, the DLSA resolves to organise similar events in the future so as to make justice smoother and more accessible.
