The weather conditions are set to remain dry in the State on Monday with no sign of rain or snowfall. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast dry weather in all the districts while the provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday were 23.4 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24 degrees Celsius and 3.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.7 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.1 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
It will be recalled that apart from causing health issues, the continued spell of dry cold resulting from absence of winter rain and snowfall is also impacting agriculture adversely in the State.
