Nodal officers appointed to monitor pilgrimage to Char Dham

The State government has deputed three IAS officers as nodal officers to monitor the smooth conduct of the Char Dham Yatra and actions for resolving problems which may be faced by the pilgrims. BVRC Purushottam has been made the nodal officer for Kedarnath, Ranjit Kumar Sinha has been made the nodal officer for Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib while Surendra Narayan Pandey has been made the nodal officer for Gangotri and Yamunotri.

The three officials are expected to coordinate with district and State level officials and monitor the conduct of the Char Dham Yatra and actions taken to resolve issues faced by the pilgrims. The nodal officers will monitor these aspects in the pilgrimage to the shrines allocated to them and will submit a report to the chief secretary SS Sandhu on a daily basis.
