Notification issued for enforcing ban on PFI & affiliates in U’khand

With the Central government banning the Popular Front of India (PFI) along with its affiliates, associates and fronts under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the State government has directed its officials concerned to take necessary action in line with directions issued by the Centre.
In the notification signed by chief secretary SS Sandhu, it is stated that the Central government has directed that all the States and Union Territories’ administration shall exercise the power exercisable by the Central government under sections 7 and 8 of UAPA. Following the Centre’s directions, all the district magistrates and senior superintendents of police/superintendents of police in the State have been directed to exercise the powers accordingly.
