Notification issued: Poll buzz intensifies in KU’s DSB campus

After the notification for the student union elections was issued by the DSB campus administration of Kumaun University, the poll activities intensified. The students led by their leaders are now rallying in the campus. The candidates from rival groups contesting several posts up for grab are also interacting with the students, assuring them that they would walk shoulder to shoulder with them if elected.
Notably, the notification -issued for September 27 polls in the campus- stated that elections would be held for the posts of president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary, treasurer, cultural secretary, faculty representative and university representative. The dean, Student Welfare, Prof Sanjay Pant said that while the nomination papers would be sold on September 23 the candidates would file nomination papers on September 24. While scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on September 25, the candidates can withdraw their names on September 26. Voting will be held on September 27 to be followed by counting and oath taking.
