Operation Sindoor to inspire future generations: Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the valour shown by the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor will inspire the coming generations.  He was addressinga programme organised at Doon Sainik Institute, Garhi Cantt to mark the success of one year of the Operation Sindoor.

He said that Operation Sindoor against terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was successful due to the valour of the Army. The CM said that due to the Army’s courage, dedication and sacrifice, the enemy will never dare to raise an eye towards India.

He said that under Operation Sindoor, the armed forces targeted and destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan in only 22 minutes while the entire nation was asleep. 

Dhami said that country’s state-of-the-art air defence system thwarted attacks aimed at India and prevented every single missile fired by Pakistan from hitting Indian soil. Within four days, Indian forces, with their valour, forced Pakistan to agree to a ceasefire.

The CM said that since every family in Uttarakhand has at least one member in the armed forces, the State has an emotional connection with the Army and soldiers. He added that under the PM’s leadership, the army is being equipped with state-of-the-art technology and weapons. 

He averred that defence exports have seen a historic 38 fold increase in the last 12 years. India is providing defence equipment, weapons and other materials to more than 80 countries around the world. In his address, the CM informed about the measures taken by his government for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. 

Sainik Kalyan minister, Ganesh Joshi said that Operation Sindoor is not just the name of a military operation but it is a symbol of India’s unwavering resolve that no tampering with the honour of our mothers and sisters, the sovereignty of the nation and the safety of citizens will be tolerated.

He said Sindoor is a symbol of women’s honour, good fortune, and power in Indian culture and when this operation was named after Sindoor the message was clear that India stands firmly to protect the honour of its women. Joshi said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has repeatedly proven that new India does not tolerate injustice, but rather retaliates decisively.
