Officials review preparations at FRI ahead of PM’s proposed Uttarakhand visit

Senior officials reviewed arrangements at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun on Monday in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed participation in the State Foundation Day Silver Jubilee celebrations. This will be the first time a PM attends the event, which marks 25 years since the formation of Uttarakhand this year. The Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, additional secretary to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Banshidhar Tiwari, Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal, director general of Industries, Saurabh Gaharwar, IG (Intelligence) KS Nagnayal, Garhwal IG Rajeev Swaroop, Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh and other officials visited the venue. They inspected the site and discussed essential preparations to ensure timely completion of all required arrangements. During the visit, Pandey instructed district and departmental officers to take necessary steps to make the event memorable. He stressed coordinated efforts and adherence to timelines. Pandey stated that the PM’s association with Uttarakhand is known and that his approach towards the State’s development is clear. He added that the PM’s presence during the 25th State Foundation Day celebrations will be a moment of pride for residents.
