Alleging that a local private school of Dehradun is harassing students by charging additional charges besides tuition fees for the online classes and denying issuing their report cards, the members of Abhibhavak Ekta Samiti (AES) sent a complaint letter to the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR). According to the president of AES, Luv Chaudhary, the school management is charging thousands of rupees extra in the tuition fees even to those students who did not join online classes.
The school is not even issuing the report cards of the students of the last year stating that the students will have to first deposit the fees in the school, said Chaudhary. The Samiti has requested the child commission to take action against the school for the mental harassment of children during Covid-19 pandemic.
