Patient dies after ambulance rams into car

A sick security guard died after the ambulance which was carrying him to the hospital rammed into a car in Jwalapur area of Haridwar on Monday morning. The police informed that the deceased named Jagjit Singh, a resident of Chidiyapur in Laksar block of Haridwar, worked as a security guard in a company and complained of severe pain possibly due to his kidney stone during his duty on Monday morning. The management decided to send him to the hospital for the required treatment. Another security guard Satveer was taking him to a nearby hospital through the company’s ambulance which rammed into a car near Ranipur Jhal on the Haridwar-Roorkee highway. The police informed that Satveer died on the spot while the ambulance driver, the other security guard and the car driver sustained injuries and were admitted in the hospital to get the proper treatment. According to them, all three injured sustained no major injuries as per the doctors. The police informed that the body was sent for post-mortem. The three injured will also be called to give their statements soon, added the police.
