PM Modi to virtually attend MLA training workshop

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually attend a training camp for MLAs to be organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the State. He agreed to attend the event in response to an invitation by the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt who met the PM on Friday. Bhatt also informed him about the development schemes being implemented in the State.
According to Bhatt, during the meeting PM Modi sought detailed information about the works being done under the Vibrant Village programme in border villages and the tours of Union ministers to these locations. He also sought information about the land subsidence disaster in Joshimath. Bhatt informed Modi that the scheme will benefit the Char Dham Yatra by further increasing the number of pilgrims out of whom many will also be interested in visiting the border villages. In addition to State government projects and development works being done with assistance from the Centre, Modi also sought detailed information about the political and organisational issues in the State. He was also informed in detail about preparations for the Char Dham Yatra and the progress in the execution of the Badrinath master plan and Kedarnath reconstruction project. During the meeting which lasted about 40 minutes, the PM was also informed about the relief and rehabilitation works done for the land subsidence affected people in Joshimath while also thanking the PM for the central assistance and approval to the rehabilitation package sought by the State.
