Police arrest four ITI gang members in Haldwani

Police arrested four men on charges of running the so-called ITI gang in Haldwani under the Gangster Act on Friday. The accused were identified as Devendra Singh Bisht, Aditya Negi, Devendra Singh Bora and Naveen Singh Mehra who were arrested near Sheetal Hotel on Friday.
The police informed that Bisht was the leader of the group who was allegedly involved in several incidents of assault, intimidation, open firing, use of sharp weapons and robbery in the Haldwani area.
A case under FIR number 280/2025, sections 2/3 of the Gangster Act was registered against them on August 21. The police stated that the actions of this group were known locally under the name ITI gang. Police records indicated that the accused had been previously booked in several criminal cases, including charges under the Indian Penal Code, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
