After a brief respite from heavy rain, the State Meteorological Centre has issued warnings regarding heavy to very heavy rains in the State till August 25. The centre has issued an orange alert (be prepared to take action) regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Dehradun districts on Saturday.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and very intense to extremely intense spells are likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Dehradun districts. A yellow alert (be aware) has been issued regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Tehri, Pauri, Almora, Chamoli, Champawat, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and intense to very intense spells are likely to occur at isolated places in Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Almora, Chamoli, Champawat, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts today.
An orange alert has been issued for Sunday regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and very intense to extremely intense spells are likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.
A yellow warning has also been issued regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Haridwar, Pauri, Chamoli, Almora, Champawat, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand. The centre has issued an orange alert for Monday regarding heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in mountains of Garhwal, Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and very intense to extremely intense spells are likely to occur at isolated places in the mountains of Garhwal, Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.
