Appointment of new officers to boost Cooperative dept activities: Rawat

The Cooperative department has appointed six newly recruited officers as assistant registrars in the mountainous districts of the State. These officers selected by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission ( UkPSC) have completed their training.
The Cooperative department has appointed Saurabh Kumar in Pauri, Rohit Kumar in Almora, Priyanka Ghansela in Uttarkashi, Pravin Rawat in Champawat, Ashish in Bageshwar and Ankit Kumar in Pithoragarh district.
The Cooperatives minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the appointment of new officers will give an impetus to the departmental works and help in improving administration. Their appointment will also help in ensuring that the maximum number of people get the benefits of schemes of the department.
He said that the State government is working on a war scale to give new dimensions to the cooperatives in Uttarakhand. The government is working to strengthen the structure of administration so that the maximum number of farmers, youngsters and women get the benefit of schemes and programmes of the Cooperative department.
The minister further added that the newly appointed assistant registrars were given 12 week training at Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand academy of administration, Nainital. After the training these officers received 43 day induction and orientation training at Cooperative Management institute Dehradun.
The appointment of new officers will also help in easy and fast loan disbursement to the farmers, self-help groups and young entrepreneurs.
