The Dehradun police found two missing teenage girls of Rishikesh in Delhi within 24 hours after they were allegedly lured by two men of Haryana through social media with the promise of good jobs. The police informed that parents filed a missing report on Wednesday morning that their 17-year-old and 15-year-old daughters have been missing since Tuesday night.

Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Dehradun constituted two teams to investigate the matter and find the missing girls. The police activated the Informers network and started the first team search by checking the footage of CCTV cameras installed outside shops and other establishments situated near the house of missing girls. The police also interrogated neighbours and relatives of the complainant. The second police team started the search operation of missing girls in bus stops and railway stations in Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar.

It was revealed in the investigation of both teams that the sisters were in contact with two males of Faridabad in Haryana through social media who had promised them well paying jobs due to which both girls left their house on Tuesday night without informing any family member. They went to Delhi via Haridwar to go to Haryana but the Dehradun police team recovered both girls safely near Kashmiri Gate in Delhi on Thursday. The officials informed that the police are gathering information on the two accused from Haryana to take required action against them.
