Police organises motivational camp for NSS volunteers

In latest news from Uttarakhand, as part of a public awareness campaign, Uttarkashi district police led by the inspector in-charge Barkot police station Santosh Singh Kunwar motivated the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers to keep away from drug addiction and gave tips on how to keep safe from cybercrimes. Besides, they urged the youngsters to be alert on crimes against women and children and follow traffic rules. Barkot police organised a special motivational programme at the NSS camp in the Government Degree College in village Kanseru. Further, the traffic police brass made them aware of the importance of abiding by the traffic rules to ensure road safety.
With the preparations for the Lok Sabha election gaining momentum, the police inspected the polling booths in village Kanseru and examined voting machines, batteries, wires, ballot papers and indelible ink. Police urged the voters to exercise their franchise peacefully.
