Maharaj advises against wasteful spending

Tourism, Public Works, Irrigation and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj has instructed officials in his departments to immediately curb wasteful expenditures, prioritise essential spending and focus on frugality.
Maharaj highlighted that the effects of the ongoing conflict in West Asia are clearly impacting the global economy. Price fluctuations, supply chain disruptions and inflationary pressures are on the rise. During such challenging times, he emphasised the importance of prioritising frugality at the individual, family and institutional levels.
The minister further asked officials to act with simplicity and wisdom. He stressed that judicious use of resources and thoughtful spending will collectively strengthen the country’s economic stability.
