The distribution of portfolios among the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his cabinet colleagues was finalised late on Tuesday night. While some cabinet ministers have been given most of their earlier portfolios, some changes have been made in the departments allocated to other ministers. The CM has kept Personnel, Vigilance, Good Governance, Corruption Eradication, Secretariat Administration, General Administration, Planning, State Estate, Information, Home, Prisons, Civil Defence and Home Guard and Paramilitary Welfare, Revenue, Industrial Development (including mining), Labour, Information Technology, Science and Technology, Drinking Water, Energy and Alternate Energy, AYUSH and AYUSH Education, Excise, Environmental Conservation and Climate Change, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, and Civil Aviation. Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj has been allocated Public Works Department, Panchayati Raj, Rural Construction, Culture, Tourism, Watershed Management, India-Nepal Uttarakhand River Projects, Irrigation and Minor Irrigation. First time cabinet minister Prem Chand Agrawal has been given Finance, Urban Development, Housing, Parliamentary Affairs and Census while Ganesh Joshi has been given Agriculture, Agricultural Education/Marketing, Horticulture and Agriculture Processing, Silk Development, Biotechnology, Soldier Welfare and Rural Development. Dhan Singh Rawat has been made the minister of School Education (Basic and Secondary), Sanskrit Education, Cooperatives, Higher Education, Medical Health and Medical Education. Similarly, Subodh Uniyal has been made the minister of Forests, Language, Election and Technical Education while Rekha Arya has been allocated Women Empowerment and Child Development, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Sports and Youth Welfare. Among the remaining two first time ministers, Chandan Ram Das has been given the portfolios of Social Welfare, Minority Welfare, Student Welfare, Transport, Micro Small and Medium Enterprise, Khadi and Gramudyog while Saurabh Bahuguna has been given Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fishery, Sugar Cane Development and Sugar Industry, Protocol and Skill Development and Employment.
