PRF secures first prize at Dr P D Sethi National HPTLC Awards 2025

Patanjali Research Foundation has won the first prize in the Private Industry Category at Dr P D Sethi National HPTLC Awards 2025. Notably, it also received the same award last year. This award has been bestowed upon the institute for its exceptional research on Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) seed oil extracted using the SCFE Technique, highlighting its strong antimicrobial and antibiofilm properties.
Speaking of the award, Acharya Balkrishna said that it is not merely a recognition but a testament to years of dedication, scientific rigor and unwavering commitment by the scientists at Patanjali. “This recognition honours the steady efforts of scientists dedicated to providing safe, effective and accessible solutions for global well-being.
The lead scientist at PRF, Anurag Varshney mentioned that based on this innovative research on Amla seeds, his institute has been honoured with the “Award of Merit” by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the 10th International “Waste to Worth” Conference and the 4R Awards 2025 edition.
He further claimed that these substantial research contributions regarding Amla seed oil have also attained international acclaim. “These research studies by Patanjali have been published concurrently in the esteemed journal Applied Food Research by Elsevier,” he added.
