The Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti will stage a Jan Aakrosh rally to protest against the apathetic attitude of the administration and State government towards the long standing issues of Pauri and the demand of the public for the redressal on February 22. Various public groups and citizens have been demanding steps to ensure proper disposal of garbage, make Pauri town free of encroachment, address problems in the district hospital, water tax, house tax and other demands, the Sanyukt Sangarsh Samiti has decided to stage the protest rally. The decision was taken at a meeting held on Saturday.
The Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti convener Naman Chandola said that the intention behind staging the Jan Aakrosh rally is to elicit the focus of the authorities on the long standing problems being faced in Pauri. The committee’s office bearers said that they will aim to unite youths of the town once again through rally for redressal of the problems being faced by the public. Employee leader Sohan Singh Rawat stressed that the government employees also had a role in the struggle for the creation of Uttarakhand and now they will also play their role for the betterment of Pauri. Another employee leader Ranita Vishvakarma emphasised that women have to come forward and become active for ensuring the redressal of problems being faced by the public.
