The special principal secretary Abhinav Kumar has said that the Information department should ensure that the social welfare schemes of the state government reach the general public by various means. He presided over a meeting of the officers of the department at the information directorate on Wednesday. Kumar said that the government schemes should reach to the person standing last on the social ladder and to fulfil this intention of government people should be informed about them from print, electronic and social media and other mediums. He directed that the information about the facilities provided by the government for the pilgrims in the ongoing Char Dham Yatra should be disseminated extensively.
The director general of Information Ranvir Singh Chauhan said that the department is propagating the information about the schemes of government and development activities extensively.
The joint directors Ashish Tripathi, K S Chauhan, deputy directors Manoj Srivastava and Ravi Bijarnia were present in the meeting.
