The State meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm at a few places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Friday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy with the possibility of thunder cloud development in some areas towards afternoon/evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 38 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Friday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 37.6 degrees Celsius and 20.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 39 degrees Celsius and 20.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 27.2 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 27.6 degrees Celsius and 14.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
