To mark Raksha Bandhan, a number of women from a Lalkuan-based organisation and the students of a school gathered at programme organised at 34th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Halduchaur and celebrated the festival by tying Rakhi on the wrists of the Himveers.
On this occasion, 34th Battalion’s commander Rajesh Kumar Joshi and deputy commanders (GD), Sanjay Tiwari and Shivraj Singh, along with a large number of Himveers and Himveeranganas, were present.
At the conclusion of the commemorative programme, Rajesh Kumar Joshi said that such festivities and warmth showered on them helped strengthen their resolve to perform their duties with utmost dedication. “Raksha Bandhan not just celebrates the spirit of the sacred relationship between brother and sister but adds warmth to the emotional bond between the personnel deployed for the security of the country and the common citizens,” he added.
