Ramnagar’s Akanksha Joshi has secured the fourth all-India rank in the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). She has been selected for the Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) Branch of the Indian Air Force. She has already joined the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, for her pre-commission training.
Upon successful completion of the training, Joshi will be commissioned as a flying officer in the IAF. Joshi completed her schooling at Army Public School, Hempur, before pursuing a BTech degree from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Her father Santosh Kumar Joshi is an insurance professional while her mother is a school teacher.
Congratulating her on the achievement, Army Public School, Hempur principal Malini Sharma, the chairman of the school brigadier Sukhbir Singh wished her a bright future. They said her achievement would serve as an inspiration for students and demonstrates that determination, hard work and commitment can help achieve even the most challenging goals.
